So this is the boys day. We went to Daytona for a fairly big car show. I decided to drive today so we set off for Daytona which we worked out is basically in a straight line from Orlando. Once there we realised that it was a fair bit bigger than what we thought. The track is huge and the car show was just as big.
So we started our way around and realised we looked out of place because we were using our legs to walk rather than motorised scooters. So we walked around in the fairly extreme heat for that time of morning, luckily I was able to purchase a straw cowboy hat, if only I had a scooter I would look like a local.
After a couple of hours watching Paul and the boys taking multiple pictures of the same car I decided to ditch them.
So off exploring in Daytona. Found a dollar general store so that kept me entertained for a while. I love dollar stores and have been finding lots of bargains. Spent the rest of the time driving around and called in to mcdonalds for a bite to eat and use of toilet and wifi.
After picking up very sunburned husband and boys we headed back to Orlando via a market and headed back for a much needed swim. The pool here is amazing so we spent a few hrs in the pool and spa.
Lessons learned today......it is awesome to have time away from. My family while travelling and with the addition of a straw hat I really look redneck
