We're still not quite a family, this should mean lots of trying = lots of fun, but birds are only fertile for 2 days in the month....always on their terms isn't it??
Looking forward to the footy season, looks like it won't be the Chelski roadshow this time which is cool. Our squad is building nicely, unlike Pompey who despite being linked to Anelka and other biggish names, have only managed to tempt Glen Johnson to the south coast for an extended holiday.

well we survived the tubing and have been again today. It was so much fun (is that where you did your tubing Matt?). We're off to Vientienne tomorrow where we're gunna meet back up with Kimberly and Laura will have arrived by then as well. After a couple of days we head across to Nam which i'm expecting to be compleatly different again.

Hey peeps

Just put two more postcards on about our adventures in Chiang Mai, one opf which is Mandy's account of our 2 day jungle trek with a couple of very minor alterations.

Happy birthday Craig and Johnny. I've spoken to you both now, but just to reiterate there are two presents the same on their way to my mum's house (should be there in about two weeks or so) plus a present for Ange.

Not much else to say really. The weather goes from 40 degrees baking sunshine to pissing it down like you wouldn't believe, some times in the space of a few moments.

And Laos is beautiful. Never ever ever seen anything like it in my life. Beats Thailand hands down. Going tubing tomorrow, which involves a bit of kayaking and then sitting in a massive tractor inner tube and floating down the river through rapids and stuff. They even have bars along the way so you can get drunk while you do it. Although they get about 11 drownings a year due to it. So maybe I'll stay sober. Or maybe not :o)

Amy Alderson, how can you be so jealous? Just cos we're over here enjoying (for the most part) the same weather as you without having to sit in an office with piss poor air con and deal with a*******s all day....oh yeah, nice one. Too bad we're gonna miss each other in Thailand hun. We fly out on October 19th for Oz, but its good to see you're doing it anyway. Just save up and go for it...or get a loan. It's the only cure for the bug I reckon. Say hi to everyone at work for me (the ones I like anyway...and the ones who remember me) and tell em not to be afraid to leave a message on here. It's far too quiet.

Cheers for the update on Pompey Johhny, keep em coming. Didn't think Mandaric would sell so soon. But I guess his aim was to make us a Premiership club and he has. Where does this leave the new stadium and all that?

Hello everybody!!

Well it looks like the heatwave has just kicked in here as well. Finally. On the day that we decide to climb up to Temple right on the top of a huge hill!!! Typical. Great views though, and just the thing to get out all of last nights alcohol.

I just wanted to say to EVERYBODY (and believe me there was a lot of you) who emailed me re: Trekking email, yes I do know what paragraphs are but you try typing all that up knowing your breakfast, lunch and dinner could be in your lap at any moment!! Fussy beggars. lol. Note to self - must try harder C+.

It's taken me about an hour to read your email! Worth it though...I was on the edge of my seat reading about Neil's Indiana Jones episode! Photos are fantasitc....and you looked beautiful in your birthday dress!

No elephant trekking here, but the heatwave is in full force...it's incredible. I fell asleep the other day outside (bliss, after Verity screaming for 30 minutes), only to wake up with my sodding right foot in a swarming mass of flying ants. The little b******s had decided to rear their ugly heads to coincide with my siestsa. It was vile. Do you remember when there was the annual swarm of them in Horndean!?
We are yet to find a house, so looks like we will have to rent for a while which is pants. I've signed up to do a journalism night class in September so am trying to read/write as much as I can before then to re-extend my vocabularly past one word conversations.

If the weather stays nice, I may brave the swimming ponds in Hampstead- the ladies ponds! Will have to contend with the water rats...I'm not sure how i'd cope in the jungle. Hoping to go on holiday in September to France or somewhere!

Just thought i better let you know that Manderic has sold his his half share to that Russian bloke (gaysomeone or other) and we have (so far) only one player coming into the squad, Glen Johnson on a year loan from Chelski.
This years prediction for who's going down: Aston Villa 4-1 odds, so it's worth a score at least, a tonne back if they are relegated.
