We were welcomed on board by a lovely crew team and soon felt at ease on board the A330. It was a much smaller seat area than the A380, but still amazing. Our cabin attendant was so polite and genuinely nice, he made all the difference.
After take off we were served cocktails and then dinner. We had pre-ordered meals and as nice as they were, it was hard to eat at 0200! After dinner we slid our seats into the lie flat position and fell asleep until 30mins before touch down in Brisbane- god its gonna be hard to fly economy again!
We were out of the airport within 30mins and on our way to our next Hilton hotel. On arrival our bags were swept away to our room and we completed check-in with the friendliest lady we have ever met. Again, we were upgraded to an executive room, so we would have the pleasure of evening drinks and canapés in the lounge- yay!
After a quick shower, we headed out to explore Brisbane. First stop was South Bank where there are loads of restaurants and bars. There is also a man made beach and pool area in the middle, which looks fun. We stopped for lunch here then carried on our walking tour. We next walked past the maritime museum and over to the Botanic Gardens. On the way back to the hotel we strolled past Eagle Street pier, where there were more eatery's and lovely views of the river.
After a rest and a shower we headed up to the lounge to try their canapés and drinks. the staff here were so super friendly, its hard to explain. Genuine good dudes. We tried some Caesar salad, mushroom soup, cheese and bread and some Mornay oysters all washed down with some champagne- this is the life.
After the canapés were finished we walked down to the river front and had a couple of cocktails, it was then on to a street bar with live music for some beers, before grabbing a Hungry Jacks before heading back to the hotel.
