Greetings!If you are wondering what I am going to be doing and who I am working for this summer please read the following terms of reference regarding my internship!It is going to be rockin'- I can't wait!

BackgroundApne Aap Women Worldwide (A2W2) is a five-year old anti-human trafficking non -government organization established by journalist Ruchira Gupta serving over 5,000 women and children in the red-light districts and slums of Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra and West Bengal through anti-trafficking units, schools, legal cells and community centres. It has recently established a Resource and Advocacy Centre in Delhi to a) support its policy work with the Government of India through its membership of the Steering Committee for Women and Children of the Planning Commission, Task Force of the National Human Rights Commission on Human Trafficking and Working Group of the Ministry of Women and Child b) its training of police and prosecutors in partnership with UNODC and c) campaign for amendment to the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act in Parliament.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesA2W2 seeks to develop a training module on gender and trafficking to conduct trainings for its members.The training module will make linkages between gender relations, violence against women, masculinities, caste discrimination and the vulnerabilities women face as trafficked victims and in forced prostitution. The development of the training module will require filed work in the Bihar and Kolkota A2W2 field offices.The development of the training module will require the following key duties and responsibilities:

1. To review available material, modules and evaluations for training/mentoring/capacity building in India and elsewhere on:

·Gender and women's empowerment

·Root causes of trafficking

·Violence against women

·Gender relations and caste discrimination

·Masculinities

1. To analyze these documents and identify key areas (both content and process) that need to be addressed in the gender training module

1. To document the background work and draft the gender training module for Apne Aap.
