Hola,
This is just a quick note to let you know that the blog should now be up and running and we have put a whole load of photos for you to look at on their.
Since we last wrote, we flew to Lima and were able to get tickets to the World Cup Qualifyer, Ecuador v Peru. Fantastic game with Ecuador (who we were supporting, having just had 19 wonderful days there!) winning 2-1. The atmosphere was great and Peru (who seemed used to defeat!) took it very well.....needless to say, Mal did not wear his new Ecuador cap outside the ground after the match!
We had a great couple of days in Huacachina, it really was an oasis in the middle of the desert. We went sand buggying and sand boarding, heaps of fun! Very relaxing place thou as there weren´t many people there and we have had heaps of time to read.....we´re going through books at a rate of knots!!
We´ve just flown over the Nazca Lines this morning, bizarre lines and shapes in the desert which can only be viewed from the air, yet were made centuries ago (for what reason, is still really unknown, despite many theories flying about!). We take an overnight bus to Arequipa tonight to check this place out, plus take a trip into the canyons nearby which are supposedly very deep. Then it´s onto Cusco to see the famous Macchu Piccu.
It´s a beautiful day here weather wise thou so we´re loving having a bit of down time whilst we wait for the bus! It´s also Mal´s birthday today, so it was great to do something to remember it by.
Hope you enjoy the photos and keep the emails coming or post comments on the messageboard......we love to recieve them.
Love Nat and Mal
PS. If you do not want to recieve an email message when we update our blog, please let us know via a quick email and IÍI remove this from our end.
