Today was our first exploration day in le Paris!

We all decided to go to the Louvre early in the morning. We got there about 9am and the line wasn't too bad. We got in and it was super packed but we were able to see some of the famous paintings like the Mona Lisa. After being in the museum for about 3 hours, we left to go find food. By the plaza, some girl almost tried to get money off of me. After arguing with her that I only had 5 cents and didn't have anything else on me except for my cards and she wouldn't accept my donation, some guy selling Eiffel towers came to my rescue and told her to shoo away and warned me to watch out for people like her since they try to pickpocket you and steal your stuff. So it was nice of him to tell me that and I made sure to be aware of my surroundings.

We kept walking down Champs Elysses and I saw a crepe cart, so I ended up getting a Nutella banana crepe. It was my first crepe in Paris! It was delicious. We then walked down the street with all the big brand name stores and walked while it rained. We then hit the Arch de Triomphe. By this time the rain died down and we were able to see the outside of it. We crossed the street and spent about half and hour admiring the Triomphe. I took pictures, sketched some photos of the scenery and enjoyed the view. We then made our way towards the Eiffel Tower.

We first hit another crepe cart where Phillip, Rasam and Ellen all got crepes. I got coffee. And from around the corner we got to see the Eiffel Tower. We stood there for about half an hour taking pictures. I had messaged Jenny saying we would meet her at the north leg of the tower, so me and Rasam rushed to the tower to meet her while Ellen and Phillip stayed behind taking pictures.

We got to the tower and saw Jenny! Which was awesome, and then we stood there talking and waited for Ellen and Phillip to show up. After we found them (or they had found us from my bright red umbrella), we went to go see the Statue of Liberty (by this time my phone died :[ ) and afterwards we went to go look for food.

It was already 8pm and we needed to meet Noelle back at the apt, so we took the metro back to our place. However, the metro was broken from where we were at, so we had to take a bus, transfer 3 times and walk to get to our apartment, which we didn't get to until 9pm. But it all worked out since Noelle didn't get there till 9pm. Afterwards we all went to the grocery store, bought food and made dinner that night. Phillip and Ellen made a yummy pasta. It was awesome. That night, we planned again and waited to see what was in store the next day.
