Okay, so sorry I didn't post last night. I got really tired and went to bed before I got a chance at the computer. So, this post is really long. Sorry!
Sunday:
Okay, so yesterday we went to 3 of the Smithsonians. Art, Science/Natural History, and American History. We walked WAY too much! Anyway, we were walking out of the Art Smithsonian and we see a street fair. My mom was all "Let's go see if we can get something to drink." Bad idea. I had a feeling in my gut that we shouldn't go into the street fair. But, in we went and guess what? It was a Gay Pride parade.
wow. That's all I had to say. So, we were sweaty, thirsty, tired, in the middle of a Gay Pride parade, and, to topic all off, there were two doughy men in leather thongs. Yes, leather thongs. It will haunt me for the rest of my life. Then, we had dinner with my aunt and uncle I haven't seen in forever at the Blackfinn (best ceasar salad EVER, btw). And that was pretty much it for Sunday. Didn't keep an itinerary for that day because we were in town all day.
Monday:
Didn't keep an itinerary today either, same reason. Anyway, today was pretty lazy day. The first thing we did was go to the Air and Space museum. Then we hiked 10 miles uphill to do a tour of the capitol. Then we met Senator Grassley and got our pic taken with him. Then we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. I got the Twisted Mac, Chicken, and Cheese. It was spicy and AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Then we took a train home and (for the first time) we didn't get lost. Ellen (our GPS) didn't lead us astray. :) Tell you our next adventure tomorrow!
