So this morning Dug suprised me by waking me up to tell me he had booked us for a hostel tonight in Berlin! And that where I am now, one day earlier than planned.
yesterdaz we went to the amsterdam zoo which was reallz good. I wouldnt say it was much better than any zoos back home, and mazbe not worth the money we payed to go, but it was still cool. There were some well good animals, and in particular we spent ages watching this gorrilla eating a pile of food then sitting up for a few minutes then it would pull this face and lean forwards with one leg in the air and throw up the food, then start to eat it again. it did this loads of times and we watched for ages, until we realised that it was chewing the food for its baby so it would be easier for it to eat. was interesting!
so after that we were pretty tired, amsterdam was small enough to walk everzwhere but it was also very tiring! so we went and just hung out in our room for a while before falling asleep. there were two new guys in our room that were from oxford and were really posh, i didnt like them so im glad we left!
this morning we got up and went straight to the station and were really lucky, there was a train straight to berlin and we didnt even have to wait for it! it took about 6 hours, and was quite boring, but i feel like we have accomplished some sort of milestone in our trip by moving on the the second city. so far i dont like it. its too big and i feel like i will never get to understand it, but i think we are doing a walking tour tomorrow that should make it a bit more manageable. To me it seems a bit like london sizewise and its very intimidating! but who knows, i might love it tomorrow!
anywayyyy, better go!
