The next five days were pretty much more of the same. Beach. Swim. Ice-Cream. Beans on toast. 'My Family' with a few highlights.
·We went out on our first night out with Katy to the boat club only to re-emerge 20 minutes after entering... far too clammy and lots of inappropriate staring going on!
·We met Amy's lovely cousin Paul and his great girlfriend Stacy who gave us a very comprehensive tour of Sydney and its surrounding areas. We went to Bondi Beach and watched skaters go up and around the bowl, The Nelson (the oldest pub in Sydney), Kings Cross, Watson's Bay where we had Doyle's best Fish and Chips and where we finally learnt what Goon was - the bag in the boxed wine! We felt slightly robbed as we had been scouting 'Liquorland' for weeks now looking for Goon! It was a brilliant day and we started to fall more in love with Sydney. It took a few weeks and a local to show us its charm and we were very lucky to know one. Thank you Paul and Stacy!
·We found the 'Iceberg' swimming pool and spent an afternoon on Shelley Beach in Manly (where we saw some mad lizards/dragons/.
·Poco Loco had us swooning with its amazing Pimms and Strawberry Daiquiri's - most definitely the best cocktail waiter in the world.
On the 31st everything changed. Cyclone Yasi wasn't going to let us have this much fun forever.
