The last 8, 10, 12 hours (I've lost all track of time whilst in the air from Sydney to Hong Kong) have been annoying to say the least.
To begin with I was over the moon that my name got called out over the PA and after walking over to the Qantas desk, was handed another boarding pass which read "Business Class: 2A". Couldn't believe my luck as I boarded before everyone else and sat down in a seat with more legroom than I knew what to do with. It was very short lived, as half way through my complimentary champagne, I was told I had to move back into Economy to give my seat to someone else. No apology, just my marching orders. Thanks Qantas.
As much as I wanted to be every bit annoyed at Qantas, their far superior in-flight entertainment to my British Airways flight to Australia made it hard. 9 episodes of The Big Bang Theory, 3 episodes of Mythbusters, 3 episodes of The Office and a DVD from one of my favourite comedians? Damn you Qantas for being so annoyingly good. To top it off I got some beautiful views of the sunset at 38,000 feet and the moon looked stunning out of my window. They make it so hard to stay mad.
My final flight to Heathrow from Hong Kong has just started boarding and the line is stupidly long. I'm content with just sitting here and boarding last, after all, my window seat isn't going anywhere.
