Darren and Vicki's Travels
Hi all,
How are you?
Just watched England win their first world cup game - can't be too disapointed as Beackham's lovely. Poor wee Rooney hopefully we will be seeing him in some action soon ;). Also there are a few English people checking this site out - well they better be?? oh yeah and a bloody aussie who never emails me;)
Okay Friday was a busy day - we went to Sentosa Island, to the southernmost tip of contenital asia - the picture of the suspension bridge takes you over to it. Also saw a dolphine show - pink indo humpback(?) dolphins - i prefer the bottlenosed blue ones myself.
All the pictures of the dolphins are Darren's - they are some excellent ones there and as it's Darren he likes to remind me how good he is with the camera:) On the subject of Mr Mac - he finished his third book - the one he's reading in the bath - just trying to persuade him to get the fourth and final one in the series :)
So after Sentosa Island we went to Raffles hotel, a Singapore sling for each of us and then a midouri and lemonade for me - dead classy that i am.
On the tables there were boxes of monkey nuts for you to eat, after you are finished with the table the waitress, then clears all the shells by clearing them onto the floor, so when you walk into the bar it's crunchy underfoot hmmm.
Left the Raffles hotel and got on a taxi/bike type of thing - a bit cheesy i know - or i though i did - when the old man start cycling it music start to play rather loudly - cheesy, old, love songs. Thanks goodness i had, had a drink otherwise i would have been off the bike in no time - everyone heard you comming - it was rather embarrasing.
Everyone assumes we are on honeymoon and shocked when we tell them no - also no one has guessed our accent correctly yet.
The bus jounrey from Singapore to KL was uneventful, well apart from the fact that every time the bus went over a bump you got launched from your seat
Got into the Hostel and caught up with some sleep and then just pottered :) went to time square which is two minutes walk from the hostel, more a/c shops although 9 floors this time - don't know how i'm going to survive shopping in Scotland when i get home (but i'm sure i'll manage somehow):)
Noticed that Schumacher is third for the British grand prix tomorrow - see my boy is doing good :)
Liz don't worry about the photos it's decent, my parents and brother check this site out - did you know that Matt????
Chirs when do you get your exam results? did you like the postard? email me [email protected]
right getting sleepy it's 12, hoepfully going to the Petronas towers tomorrow.
will let you all know about it, missing you all loads, keep with the messages and letting us know how things are at home.
Love to all
