Another busy day. Went to The Old Town this morning, which is a living museum of restored and reconstructed buildings which are now stores, stables, saloons and restaurants. Everybody in costume and many in role. It is a State Historic Park that " captures the energy of the community between 1821 and 1872. It offers a glimpse of the lifestyles of both the ordinary residents and the most wealthy and influential." They do things well over here!
Went in search of a B and B we stayed in the first time we visited San Diego, found it sadly, empty. Apparently the City has plans for it and others like it but nothing seems to be happening at the moment. It's a shame because it had already been saved from demolition once and moved across town to its present site.
Best part of day was definitely the Mormon Battalion Museum. Very slick. We are now Honorary Members of the Mormon Battalion, with a photograph and our own Book of Mormon to prove it!
Spent afternoon strolling round the Harbour area and the Seaport Village.
Another hot day!
