So with most of the group having a hangover from hell, we made your way from Pisco, to the Ballestas Islands where we took a speed boat around the island. The island is famous for the amount of wildlife that inhabiltes it such as sea lions, penguines, and mass amounts of birds and with birds come birds poo and how is smelt. Apparantly, it is someones job to once a month clear all the birds poo off the rocks and they sell it as fertilliser, what a crap job that is, he, he!
So after a nice but rather smelly start to the day we left the Ballestas Islands and made our way deep in to desert to Huacachina oasis, yes an oasis. Huancachina is a small village situated around an oasis set deep in the desert. It is here that we aboarded our sand buggies and were driven at high speeds up, over, around the huge sand dunes deep into the desert. It was so much fun, like being on a rollercoast-a real adrenaline rush! Then we spent the next hour sand boarding down the huge sand dunes which was so awesome!!! Then back to the oasis lodge to shower (as the sand gets everywhere) and rehydrate with nice cold beers.
We then spent the next 2 night at Nazca where most of the group took a flight over the famous nazca lines, and most of them felt sick afterwards. So spent the next day relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sun.
