ok, since it has taken me about 15 minutes to 1. remember my password for this journal, which by the way took me 5 attempts, 2. work out how to use this slow internet system without crashing it, and 3. choose a picture to display, i now have approximately 5 seconds to type you a message. i have arrived, safely, and already had the strangest experiences!! we took a cars at night without the use of headlights, nearly running over half the kenyan population and nearly driving into a building is always an interesting experience. currently i am sharing a room with the housekeeper - who by the way makes our food and clears up after us. only prob is that she doesnt speak a word of english and insists on having the radio blarring all night!! some good news, have a house with hot water and a flushing toilet, seriously, this isnt so bad at all. errrr a beatle is just crawling all over my hand right now ahhhh and all over the keyboard what the hell is that animal/insect... okay apart from the bugs, im adapting really well. actually loving the food, eaten so much, its great!!! seems to consist of rice for most meals, and noodles for breakfast, so im happy!! will have to update you with more info when have actually done some more travelling. going to the hospitals and schools from tuesday/wed so will see how that goes. contemplating climbing mount kenya this weekend,,, slightly perterbed by the concept but who knows what a week in this place will do to me???!!! so bye everyone, until next time.... lynsey
