Napiers Travel Around The World in 50 Days
Gday Pussoms
well this will be the lest pc from Oz (aussie accent!)
We are at the airport for for next flight to NZ.
What have been up to then. Wed, we took a trip on the Monorail and had a general sightseeing tour of Sydney. While we were on the escalator in Darling Harbour we met a couple from the Kowloon trip going up! its a small world. Weather cleared up but it was too late to go to Bondi, so sorry Ronnie no hot pics I'm afraid, had hope to capture some beach babes for you but there you go! Well as you may have seen from the photos we had a great night on our dinner cruise, prior to boarding we met up with an aussie guy who tried to sell us his two tickets that he had spare, poor soul he was accompanying 16 merry widows from Vegas calling themselves Father Teds party, and yes, Father Ted was with them but he and another had got tickets for the opera. We had already booked our tickets so we was still left with two spare and all they would give him was a bar credit - just what these ladies didn't need, they were wild, average age 55. We thought the boat was a bit quite when we left but on arrival at Darling harbour there was a Japanese Invasion!! and the pics tell the rest.
Yesterday, as everyone was coming into town for Australia Day we moved out. We had booked the Hunter Valley tour to the vineyards. Then the climb up the Harbour Bridge. Long drive north and only four of us on the trip. Visited and tested wines from Iron Wood,Roche, MacGuigans, Brokenwood and Ernest Hill. These are all cellar door wines which means even if we did like them they are not available at home. The last one was interesting because the guy who owned it - Ernest Hill - his maternal grandparents live in Lochgelly and he was chuffed to have fifers tasting his wine. Arrived back about 5.30pm had an hours kip them showered and changed and down to Sydney Harbour for the firework display to end Australia Day - only one problem they were going off at Darling Harbour!! quick taxi ride along there and we joined the tens of thousands already there. Great display! Yes Bette you have experience Australia Day so you know what the atmosphere is like! "This will be like your St Andrews Day I guess" asked the girl in reception - now what does happens then I had to think - nothing!!
Davey went off to bed and left me to pack ready for our departure this morning. Look out for the next pc from NZ. Love to all Lynne & Davey xx
