LINDA'S TALES OF TRAVEL AND OTHER CATASTROPHES
Today we were shouted a Hop-on/Hop-off tour of London by Will's lovely godmother Heather. It covered all the major sites, such as: The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Trafalga Square, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St James Park, London Bridge (and the many other bridges!), St Paul's Cathedral...I could go on but you should all be jealous enough by now ;)
We also had a few amusing moments today. First of all, during the very traditional changing of the guard, they broke out into Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' - classic!
The other moment came on our journey home (Windsor is a good hour plus from central London). Trying to be smart we thought we could go an extra stop on the train so that we could get a bus instead of a taxi on the final leg home. Silly us forgot to consider that buses might stop running early and were left temporarily stranded in the little town of Bracknell. In the end we got the train back to the original stop, found a taxi, and had a laugh at wasting £8 on our little trip to Bracknell!
