LINDA'S TALES OF TRAVEL AND OTHER CATASTROPHES
Our first stop in the Czech Republic was the quaint little town of Ceske Krumlov. In the main part of the town no new buildings have been allowed for centuries so it is like going back in time there. The buildings look like something out of a fairy tale...and actually being able to afford stuff in the Czech Republic made it even more like a dream!
Onto Prague - definitely one of my favourite places. It was good to see a city that was so completely different from the Western European places we had visited so far. By this stage, howevever, I had seen so many churches, old buildings and museums that I decided just to have a day wondering around aimlessly and taking it all in. The day also involved a long lunch in one of the old squares because, as I mentioned earlier, stuff was actually affordable there!
That night we went to the infamous 5-storey night club - reputedly the biggest in Europe. One of the floors had 70s and 80s music - classic!
