Well leaving Fiji was a lot quicker than arriving! Was impressed that i was upstairs and row number 17 instead of way back in row 69 or something!
Was woken by the annoying people next to me TWICE so she could go to the toilet for about 2 hours each time! And there were people sniffing the whole time so earplugs and iPod it was for me!
Got to america and I don't remember having to scan both hands and each finger! I thought it was just a thumb last time! And just for extra security had a photo as well..
Forgot that americans refer to chocolate as candy- which i didn't declare to customs but the guy said 'candy is fine' in his American accent.
The guy at the connecting flights carousel was a typical big black guy who said 'do I get a hug?' - being the non huggy person I am I was a bit weirded out as generally people in airports don't do that!! Haha
First shop I see in terminal 2 is Starbucks. In America- who would've thought!! The frappes are great though!!
The airport policeman was riding his bike around the terminal and through starbucks haha..
Have also decided that structural columns in airports are the best because they often have power points on them which are hard to come by sometimes!
And to confirm my original beliefs- the stereotypical American really does ALWAYS chew a chewy and with their mouth wide open at that. Love it. Ha
These are the things you notice when you sit in an airport for 6 hours!!
I'm sick of them only 3 days in!! Was weird departing Fiji at 10pm Sunday the 15th and after almost a 10 hour flight arriving at 1pm on the same day. Think I'll be right from jet lag though- never had it before and I slept when I should have!
Next stop vancouver, haven't heard a bad word about it!!! Let's see if it lives up to its name!! :))
