The adventures of Lucy...
Sunday 9th April- ok so i arrived in BA at about 11 and caught an expensive taxi to the hostel! It was such a cool hostel- i could tell the party scene was going to be good!!Checked in, and even though i ahd not slept for 30 hours i headed out to an awesome football match in BA. The atmosphere was so cool!
Monday 10th- met up with my travelling/project partners from Brazil again- was cool!Took a walk around the city adn admired the amazing architecture- i still miss Brazil though. Went to a really nice restaurant in the evening- was good to have some nice wine!Went to the bar in the eve and randomly bumped into some guys from my uniwho were staying at the hostel! Also had a good boogie- and the LAWN MOWER dance came out!!Woo!!
Tuesday 11th- Went to Palermo today and checked out a really nice little restaurant for soem lunch, saw the cemetary where Evita has her grave- a bit weird to walk through so many huge graves. We had a tango lesson in the hostel today!! Yet again, went ot a restaurant in teh eve for a really cheap lasagne- service is not too hot out here!Went back to the bar and Mike from Notts made me get my pocket saxaphone out- we had a pop song jam- very amusing- even played East 17 stay another day!!
Wednesday 12th- spent the morning looking for a new diary as my 6 month diary only lasted me 3 months in Brazil!Went to a famous tango restaurant 'Cafe Tortoni' which had a mini library/museaum.Went for a run with Steph, my Californian mate, it was hilarous as we got lost and had to run through lots of traffic- oops. Went to an amazing buffet for dinner- i had salad not STEAK!I did try some though but i still am dead against it- even after eating 'amazing' Argentine steak!Went to a club after but only stayed about an hour.
Thursday 13th- went to some amazing markets in Palermo. Had a cuppa in Sherriden's irish bar!Managed to round up 15 people from the hostel to go to cool restaurant- wtih...yes finally....good service!!
Friday 14th April- was supposed to meet down stairs to go horse riding at 8.50 but my alarm didnt go off- did not help that i had gone to bed at 5 either!!I missed the bus after Sunny came to wake me up and gavie me 3 mins to get ready! So i had to get a taxi to another hostel. i was feeling pretty ill too-mmm! So the horseriding place was cool- it was an old style ranch- we saw all the meat for a huge huge bbq being prepared and then we queued for 45 minutes to only get a 10 minute walk on the horses- not exactly what we paid for - but hey you win some, you loose some! The gouchos lookeded after us well though! The food was great and there were lots of dancing acts too. The gouchos also performed some great horse riding tricks too!We went to a great club called Sunset in the evening- was so great, lots of different rooms and such a great atmosphere!
Saturday 15th- went to La Bocca- home of Tango, it was cool but quite commercial! Went to a great restaurant and i got to dance Tango with with a Tango guy! Then in the evening we all went for a celebratory meal as some of us were leaving- we went to such a cool restaurant , with live entertainment- in the form of a fat guy dressed as a woman- was hilarious!!Went to another club- Opera Bay- was yet again a great night- they played loads of music that reminded me of Uni too!!Danced with a couple who went to Nottingham Uni too!!Random!
