Dear all,
We have settled in well and are getting over our culture shock.Sorry its taken a while to sort out the blog, but the internet is still really slow.Sorry no photos as yet, that is our next challenge. Its truly amazing here so much wildlife to see.We stayed at a national park and went jungle trekking. We saw wild probiscus monkeys, bearded wild pigs, makaque monkeys, flying lemurs, snakes, monitor lizards and a few more. The accomidation was very grotty and the food even worse but we survived. We got attacked by the Makaque monkeys who were after our crisps and had to retreat to our room for safety. No harm done though.
The weather has been good for the last few days, that means sun and very warm, although there has been a few thunder storms to keep us entertained. We have made a few friends mostly Australian, and double our age but it is stopping us from driving each other mad.
Been doing lots different things too many to mention. We are still having a bit of trouble with the food but are finding out what we like and what is safe to eat, no illness as yet.
Going to get a local simm card in the next few days and will be calling home to give you a more detailed update.Cant wait to speak to you.
This has taken about an hour and a half so we had better sign off now.Thinking of you, all our love Lucynda and Emma.xxxxxxxXXXxxXxXX
