Lucy's Travels
Tuesday 14th February - Arrived in Fiji from Auckland late in the afternoon, so didn't get the chance to see much of the city. Had a swim in the pool, while watching it rain (my first swim in a pool so far!) and had an early night.
Wednesday-Friday 15-17th February - Up early to catch a bus to the harbor. Jumped on a catamaran only to arrive an hour later on a tiny island. At first it seemed a bit like camp because we were staying in a little hut next to the water and you have to eat when they serve dinner. If you miss a meal its tuff luck because there is no where else to go - it's an island. However, we settled in and spent most of our time snorkeling, viewing coral, star fish and fish. We spent the evenings avoiding the 'Bula Dance' song, which was a complete rip-off of the Macarena! That left us with a bottle of duty free vodka and some 7-UP!
Saturday 18th February - Spent the morning in 30C sunshine and then caught a boat back to the mainland. As soon as we reached the mainland we took bus to Nadi town and had a look around. I love going to the supermarkets to have a look at the different foods and drinks they have. We bought some strange fruit! Went back to town for a curry and stir fry. The best curries have been in Fiji so far!
