Hi Everyone!
How are you all? I got 2 whole photos uploaded! Lol it will get better I'm sure. Internet here can be ever so slow. You get the idea though. Once again, aplogies there are none of me. My memory card from the safari has the virus on it and so there's no chance of fixing it till I get home (which I'm really upset about) but I will get Lyn to take some of me and the boys and get them on here in a couple of weeks. Just imagine me half a stone lighter, 3 or 4 shades darker skinned and in summer clothes and you're there anyway!
So, this week I have been carrying on much the same.. my bum is very bruised from cycling up and down the lane with they boys (I got a pic of them up) and I have played lots of games and puzzles. We discovered that they really like playing i spy, and its very good for their english, although I don't think Alphan has quite got the hang of it.. ("something beginning with s".. "cat!")
I have made friends with quite a few local people, in particular marcel, a south african guy who is volunteering at the international school as a teacher. I went out to the yacht club for the pool tournament (don't worry, I only watched).. but staying out till 1 when I get up at half 6 didn't entirely agree with me! And my askari (night guard) who is very odd towards me locked me out. Last night I had to climb the wall (a good 7 foot) to get in again, and then he'd locked my bedroom door.
Today we took the boys on the speed boat out to yambe island, just off the coast. They loved it and we had a good look in all the rock pools. They snorkelled and had a great time. There were thousands of crabs climbing the big coral cliffs, and it sounded just like wind chimes, it was really funny. Chrisopher drove the boat back, which he is very proud of.
We finally got to start moving into the new building yesterday. We have only moved the living room over so far because they are still working on the rest. It's very strange, because it means I'm now living in a completely empty building, and feel quite lonely!
I'm going off to Tukae on tuesday. i have to confess, I'm finding it really hard to think about leaving. I know it's only 2 children, but they have had much more of an impact on me than I had thought about.
I will write again in a week or so.
Lots of love to everyone xxx
