Place: Magnetic Island
Weather: Cloudy and windy
Woke up today and had beans on toast which was suchhh a nice change to just toast. We had to check out of the hostel and send the car back today so it was a bit of a rush in the morning. It turned out we had loads of time left on the car though so when we saw a couple of girls that had been on my Whitsundays boat waiting for a bus we decided to give them a lift.
When we finally gave the car back it seemed to take us ages to walk back to our new hostel which was a lot cheaper for our last night. They had a special offer on for a diving trip in Cairns which started us off with a booking process and we ended up booking sky diving, bungy jumping and I got a 2 day diving trip. It was all for the next few days so we were sooo excited but sooo nervous and sooo broke!!
There wasn't much left for us to do on the island and it had taken us a long time to sort everything out to book. We went to have a burial for Geoffrey and they actually named the bay after him that he is buried in. When we had finished his funeral we took a walk with our free wallaby food to feed the rock wallabies.
We had gone there slightly early but hoped that they would come out early because it was cloudy. They did and there was loads of them eating right out of our hands. Some would even start fighting over the food which was a bit scary.
There was a night market on that we decided to go to and the way we met Gal from our Fraser Island trip. He had just come from the market but wanted to see the wallabys so after showing us the market which was basically just a few food stalls, we took him to see the wallabys where he pretended to feed them for pictures.
At our new hostel there was live music on that night and we had got a few free drinks because we had booked so much from the hostel. We sat our with a coffee first of all but then got some wine and sat with the French guys we had given a lift too. The live music finally came on and we listened too it for a bit but then we just got bored. It was only 8pm and we didn't know what to do with ourselves so ended up going for a random walk around the complex and then heading back to the room to chill for a bit before going to bed.

Gran So glad Geoffrey had a decent funeral. Rock wallabies are cute, aren't they?... so much smaller than many of their extended family.
