We crossed the border into Botswana on the 11th Feb. Here we did our first Game Drive in Chobe National Park. The park was beautiful we saw hurds of elephants, Zebra, Giraffes, Imparla and Hippos! In true third world style we got a flat tyre and in the swelltering heat of the day we had to help the guide change it.... which took a while! After changing the tyre we did a sunset cruise up Chobe River. The next day we travelled to the famous Okavango Delta where we took a Mokoro ( small african boats steered by poles) safari through lagoons of water lily and viewed the widlife of the wetlands and took a walking safari through the delta! We bushed camped here for the night... no toliets or showers! Pretty spot though, in the middle of know where- the stars where amazing! We travelled on the Kalahari to the Tsodilo Hills and viewed the many rock paintings that were carried out by bushmen in the past.
