Arrived in Oruro looking forward to the most famous carnival in Bolivia - the president was even there! We didnt realise though that the water bomb theme was still ongoing with the added threat of foam and water guns!!! Arrived at the Bolivian border - quite excited but started to worry when we realised that the queue to cross over to Argentina was about a mile long and the Bolivian queue just comprised of us two! Had to catch an overnight bus to Potosi - adventure travel it was!!! Huge lightning storm and window wouldnt close so Lucy got wet through, temperature dropped to minus 500, coach constantly swerving to avoid collisions, after 4 hours stopped for a toilet break - lux...

Spent a great night in the place famous for Argentinian wine. Day got off to a great start with a visit to a vineyard, obviously with wine tasting involved! The night was even better as we didnt realise it was the yearly wine festival - the main plaza was transformed into wine tasting, steak eating booths with a huge central stage where well known bands from the areas around played traditional music. Sat on the grass all night drinking (sorry...wine tasting)!!...

Arrived in Bariloche - like the argentinian version of the LakeDistrict and has a Swiss feel to it - loads of chocolate as well!!!!Went camping by the lake side where we`said goodbye to our lovely tent. Night life was great - went out nearly every night - stayed in a great hostel 10 floors up overlooking the beautiful lake. Went to see a group called the Andean Beatles - panpipe music to all the Beatles songs (very wrong and not normal)!!!

Our plans were to go to Bariloche in Argentina, but had to wait three days for next bus so detoured here. Spent last few days chilling out - went to see a volcano today (volcano Osorno) - snowcapped volcano and yesterday, chilled out on a beach by the lake.
