Christmas in Christchurch was lovely - we had a sunny day which was quite warm - and a bit of rain in the evening but by then we were all a bit drunk so we didn't care! Huge thanks for my pressies Em and Nat (it made a huge difference to waking up somewhere far from home on Christmas morning!) Boxing day was a bit boring - but hey you can't have it all i suppose! Well I didn't get up the steepest street in Dunedin after all - I ended up having an extremely lazy weekend there after getting a real bad cold and cough (poor little me I know!) I checked out the town center and three of us went to Cadbury World for the tour which was good! I upgraded to a Double room at the hostel/Hotel and got one with a Bath!!Whcih is a real treat after 3 1/2 months of showers I can tell you! It also had Sky TV so I stayed in each evening...

On Monday I finally made it onto the stray bus en-route to Milford Sound. The group on the bus all knew each other already it seemed but I got to know some nice girls from Ireland and two brothers from Canada within the first few hours.
