Hey all, Boy have I got some rather amusing information on Bali. Firstly Bali is beautiful and its such a shame the tourist levels have plummeted! Its an amazing place and so so so cheap....i have offcially become a millionaire. 1 million RP is 50 pounds sterling. So anyway ...... we did a trip up north the other day and we saw some amazing sights. First stop was to watch a traditional balinese dance about good and evil. It was pretty intense! Very colourful. After that it was a short drive to a typical balinese house. The layout was really different sorty of like Mulan. There is a family temple and small tombs. They are very different with lots of colours..we learnt a rather odd tradition that if you dont have enough money for cremation then they bury you and dig you up again when the family has enough money! Not a very nice job! We made our way slowly to Mt Agong and stared in wonder at the beauty of a real live active volcano...(naturally i bored louise with all the facts about volcanos). We had an amazing all you can eat lunch then moved on to our hotel. The next day we got up bright and early and headed to a local hot spring that is very near a lake temple. It was beautiful and so warm. However i did remember what happened in that film called volcano and they melted etc lol....the sulpher dyed my bikini orange. Then it was onto git git waterfall and fianlly a stop at the moneky forest where we made great new friends! A very enlightening trip! COME TO BALI ITS BEAUTIFUL!
