Again, apologies for not updating this in such a long time! Lots has happened since the last entry. We landed in Sydney, and as the pilot put it, "apart from the wind and the rain, it's a pretty nice day". Needless to say, it's not the most fun place in the world in winter, and it reminded us a whole lot of London. So we decided to head up north to the sunshine of Cairns, which we landed in on Monday afternoon. It's really hot here and although it was raining when we got here, it's been sunny all day today. We're on Mission Tan so we got the bus out to Palm Cove, a really nice beach about 20 miles outside Cairns itself and spent the day there. Stay tuned for the tan updates. Cairns itself is pretty much a seaside town, although they call it a city, which is beyond our understanding as it's pretty much smaller than Grimsby. Our hostel is really nice, more like a hotel really. It's got a pool and spa area, cook-your-own BBQ every night and a bar as well. The room has a little balcony and we're sharing with two Korean guys at the moment. I've already managed to lose my key somewhere within the room so we'll see how that works out!
Anyway, there's the update on our Australian adventures so far. I'd love to put some pictures up but I'm not sure if the computers here have USB ports...I'll get back to you. Hope everyone is well, especially Granny after the balloon escapade! Big love x
