We had a great drive up to Pai then got a bit lost trying to find the farm we were staying at. Out on some back roads and around one corner we came face to face with a huge elephant. We stopped and the other 'driver' walked the elephant up to our car and it put its trunk in our window. Very cool!!
Staying in a bamboo hut with two sleeping rooms and one bathroom, very cosy!! Beautiful setting on a pond in the middle of rice paddys.
Drove into Pai and checked out the markets and had a great massage, we could get into the massage habit. Had a few big rats playing on the roof the first night, it complimented the tree frogs. Very relaxing place.
Did an elephant ride and swim, definitely a highlight. We had a lot of fun but I sure got a sore butt.
We're getting very good with Thai food, you can eat for almost nothing and the food is very good.
Heading further north today, towards the golden triangle and Burma border area.
