Took the bus to the night market, buses cost about .15 CDN and they're everywhere. They have conductors who take great pleasure in helping poor lost souls like us, no one speaks English here. Off early this morning to the Great Wall, but mother nature wasn't playing ball, we left the smog of Beijing only to end up in the fog in the hills. The wall is amazing but we missed out on what I'm sure would have been incredible views. At least it didn't rain!! We went on the tour with some very interesting people from Belgium, Russia, Columbia and New Zealand (he was a very interesting Maori and the only one in our group who was within 30 yrs of us)
Back at the hostel to rest our legs a bit then we're heading to a large restaurant and club area for the night in search of some authentic Peking Duck.
Had a great noodle dinner our last night in Beijing, found a local place with no tourists and almost left after seeing what and how the locals were eating. But they found us a menu with some English so we ordered and had a great meal even though we're not totally sure what we ate!!
Walked around Beihei park in the morning, Theresa joined a dance group of old ladies with huge ribbons, she would fit right in here. Had to drag Theresa away from a vest for Teagan, I'm not keen on hauling presents around for a month.
Off to the airport, never did see the sun in Beijing.
