- Slept in to 8:45am, then got breakfast.
- We packed our stuff & left with the concierge, then walked to Berjaya Times Square Theme Park.
- It was interesting to walk through another part of the city. Run red lights; we found that just because have green crossing does not mean you can go, i.e. you have to wait until cars going the other way force cars now running a red light to stop. Walk wasn't too far (around 2km) but was hot. Once we got to the mall had Boost Juice to cool down, then found the theme park (which opened at 12:00pm).
- At the mall, we found for the first-time toilets with no toilet paper! (like not even a holder).
- The theme park (Berjaya Times Square Theme Park) was good and unique, being completely indoors. It worked quite well (especially with no sun and having A/C at midday). It was very quiet, and we did a lot of runs on the roller coaster (which weaved through the full area—which spanned 4 floors), some other spinning/lifting rides, a simulator, and a shooting range (BB guns), Bumper Cars. We enjoyed our time, Ethan finally got to go on a ride that was either removed, shut or being installed at other parks we have been to. We ended up spending almost 2 hours, and we were able to do all the rides we wanted.
- Had a video provided of our last ride on the rollercoaster (see video tab).
- Got caught out leaving. The entrance was not the exit - it was interestingly 2 floors higher to get out. After figuring this out, getting taxi took ages. KL traffic at 2 pm is very congested (presumably this only gets worse at peak hour). It was ultimately quicker to walk there than to get back via Taxi (40 min, including wait time, to travel 2km!). I had incorrectly assumed the times reported at 10 am would only be same or better at 2pm. Ironically, our drive to the airport required reversing the exact same journey (if it wasn't for our suitcases, we would have saved a lot of time).
- We had fun mucking around/making up games in the train in our exclusive VIP section by ourselves. Also interesting to note (as we did when we arrived) is the number of palm trees closer to the airport - there are heaps just massive large expanses of them, which become more apparent flying in/out.
- Our "VIP" train tickets came in handy, as they meant we were escorted to the check-in and assisted in checking in our bags, including jumping the cue! Actually printing the bag tags at the self-check-in counter was challenging, and the porter, who presumably does it a lot, was also confused! But having our own escort and queue jumping made up for the time we had lost.
- Airport was different again. Lots of checks this time. A "minor" one, then the "real" one. Twice through immigration checkpoints (well, we did 3 as we followed instructions, but since we came through the auto gate when we arrived, we had to use the auto gate to leave - but were checked at manual immigration before they realised!). Security required a bag check x-ray, process, then to only be checked again further down the corridor (this time normal checking everything). We were further checked 3 times to board the plane (everyone was).
- Most our planes have had humidity pumped in, but this one had the most by far was very hazy. When we sat Ethan tried to put his bag under his seat, only to find that the person in-front had his bag there. I asked him if it was his bag, and he acknowledged it- I pointed out it was meant to be in front of him - but he noted this would impact his legroom! I insisted that Ethan needed to put his bag there and it needed to be moved - he reluctantly complied!
- We got to see the sunset across the entire horizon. The flight went smoothly and landed 20 minutes early. It was the least comfortable flight we had (very little room, and knees were pressed into seat in front), but it was fine. Food was ok, tried some nuts which were quite good.
- Good to be home!.
