Hi guys.
We arrived in Venice on Friday to end our tour on Saturday morning. We caught the train accross to the island and had a guided walk throught the city. This place is amazing! 120 something bridges connecting all the islands together to make a special place. You ask your tour guide what to do for the day and he just says "Go and get lost for the day"! And that is the best way to describe what to do!!
We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at a small local resturant and Laura and i couldnt wait to explore more the next day.
We were lucky that our guide marked on the map a few 'must see' areas to go to.
First stop, coffee and cake!
Oh, dont blame us if we come back as fat as pigs, the food here is unbelievable!!
We continued exploring and 'getting lost' then all of a sudden we spotted what we were searching for... ICE CREAM!! the best kind of ice cream you have ever tasted!
We met our next tour group that afternoon that will travel with us for the rest of the trip. Venice-Rome.
The next day we were free to explore Venice again, so Laura and i caught the boat out to two differant islands. Morano island, know for glass blowing and then Burano island which is a small fishing village. Both island were fantastic and definatly worth seeing. The buildings were painted in bright colours and we got some great photos.
Venice was great and we would love to visit again.
