PRAGUE
We arrived in Prague after a early train ride from Krakow and were glad to see our beautiful appartments that we will be staying in for the next 2 nights. We stayed in an appartment block with local people from the city so we felt like a part of the place!! We soon fell in love with the city, it is so beautiful and so is the beer!!
We went out for dinner our first night to a place surrounded with mini train tracks, we soon realised that this is how your beer arrives!! There are train tracks down the middle of each table and once you place your order the train arrives not long after with your beers!! This was a really fun place and the food and beer were great!!
The next day we went on a walking tour around the city to learn about the history and the range of different buildings that make up Prague! We then had some local food in the main square of the city which was interesting!! I had "Trandik" which is like a doughnut rolled up and cooked over hot coals!! sooo nice:)
Tonight we went to another great place called the PUB, this place had beer taps in the middle of every table and everyone helps themsleves to beer as they please!! There is also a massive score board in the middle of the place that shows how much each table had drunk so it becomes a bit of a competition!!After the Pub we went back to a little bar near out appartment that has 30 beers on tap!!! We had some cherry and chocolate beer which was a great way to finish off the night!!!
CESKY KRUMLUV
After experiencing our first stop in the Czech Republic we were so excited to arrive in Cesky Krumluv which is a small town in the country side. We had a private tour with a local lady "Oli" and she showed us the sights of this amazing little place! It looks like something out of a fariy tale book, castles built into moutains and a river flowing down from the snow through the middle of the town.
We had a lovely lunch on the side of the river a local speciality "Barvarian meat plate", it was beautiful with a range of different meats, salads and millet (a grain used by the locals)!! its was some of the best food we have had yet! Then had some more great coffee and then walked around this amazing little town.
We loved the Czech Republic and would love to come back here one day, great food, beer and great people we met along the way made it a highlight of our trip!!
