Today we went to Kennedy Space Centre! It was AMAZING! We did a thing called ‘Cosmic Quest’ which was an interactive game which helped you design and grow a Mars habitat for humans.
We also went on a bus tour, and went all around the park. We saw the crawlers that carried the rockets to the launch pad, and the support towers. There was also the SpaceX and Boeing buildings, where they are working on the new modules like Orion. We were dropped off at the SaturnV building, which had a rocket launch cosmic quest, and a huge rocket. There were also some of the old space suit designs, including Alan Shepherd’s one.
A highlight was meeting astronaut Ken Cameron who had piloted 3 shuttle mission. His talk was epic and we learnt a lot!
We also got to see the space shuttle Atlantis. It was huge and awesome. We went in a simulator of a shuttle launch, which shook and spun you round. There was another cosmic quest in the Atlantis building. We also did 2 other cosmic quests in the journey to mars building and the IMAX area. We finished off our day with some Martian Rocks Dippin Dots by the rocket garden, before heading into the store to get our mission badges for completing the cosmic quests. We even got a free robonaut toy.
When we arrived home we went in the pool before flopping, exhausted, into bed. What a great day!

It was so exciting to see the space shuttle Atlantis! There was a cool thing that you had to find where some small pedestals and scan them with some tags then you saw a short video. There were five of the videos. At the end of each challenge you did a mega challenge. Amazingly on a rocket launch challenge I got 100% I was very happy!
We also saw really cool wildlife at Cape Canaveral too: wild alligators, turtles storks, vultures squirrels and even an eagles nest! That's because cape Canaveral is also a huge wildlife refuge. I loved it there.
