Hey there. My names is Lou Moscrop, I'm 29 years old and I am an RE teacher. I brought my first map of the world in 1998. Hey there. My names is Lou Moscrop, I'm 29 years old and I am an RE teacher. I brought my first map of the world in 1998. Now at last I am making plans to fulfill my life's ambition of an extended trip around the world. The plan is to set off around March 2007 and travel for about 9 months. But the best thing in the world is that I get to go with my husband, Ben. He is 27 and an 2nd line support engineer for IBM. It has taken me 8 years to convince him to travel the world with me, but after taking him to India, Japan and buying him a digital SLR he seems to have got the bug - but where to go... so many places so little time and money. We would like to do a more extended exploration of Japan the travel through SE Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malasia) and then visit some friends in Australia and New Zealand, then Samoa, Peru, Columbia where Ben's uncle lives (with a little retreat to Barbados), then up to Berlize and home again. We have already taken up some places like Tibet and Nepal and Canada, but we know that we are going to have to cut it down a little more - so any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. So why do I want to travel the world? I think it brings perspective on life - it challenges they way you are, the way you think, the way you live, I think we are priveledged to be able to do this and I think you should make the most of the opportunities life throws at you. As an RE teacher I love understanding other perspectives, other cultures, other beliefs. Mainly I don't see myself as British but as a human so I want to visit my brothers and sisters around the world - what am I saying - I just don't want to have to work or do housework for 9 months!! It is going to be great!
