Arrived in Singapore on evening of Thurs 5th June and originally only intended to stay for around 4 days...upon arrival however we decided we'd stay for a week and move on to our next destination on the following Thurs....however the chinese authorities had different things in mind :-) We experienced a few delays/set backs in our attempts to get a Chinese entry visa... But finally on Fri 13th of all days we joyfully left the Chinese embassy at 9 in the morning with the long awaited visa stuck within the pages of our passport!! Horah!! So we can finally start making plans for the next leg of our journey!

We had to sort the Chinese visa in Singapore really as some countries were only accepting applications from their own citizens so we might not even have been able to apply in Thiland/Cambodia or Vietnam - Hong Kong is normally a good place to get Chinese visa but I think even they were only accepting applications from Hong Kong citizens...so we had to remain in Singapore to get it sorted and has meant we've left later than intended...
