So today we left the gorgeous San Diego and headed into the desert and the state of Arizona. Big truck trucks with burly drivers, masses of golden sand, and pine forests - there was lots to look at. It was an epic journey, after leaving at 8am, we pulled into our hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona at 3.30pm. The journey flew by!

We visited Walmart on the way. The Aussies couldn't believe the place, but really it was just like our supermarkets back home - except they sell guns! I purchased my costume for Halloween from there today too.

Phoenix is absolutely roasting hot. Just perfect - 34degrees. So needless to say as soon as I dumped my bag, I went out to the pool.

We're off for dinner tonight, then at 6am
tomorrow we're going hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Sun, then a jeep tour with Cowboys through Sedona. Before arriving at the Grand Canyon
