Well, here i am with my family in a gorgeous village called Strathalbyn near to Adelaide, South Australia. It's been an amazing few days, a great intro to Oz.
After, a minor panic attack at the airport when i realised we hadn't arranged a meeting point, i had no contact no and no idea what any of them looked like, we eventually found eachother and i was driven to their house to meet the crew. That eve we all had a family roast which was a delicious start to non-thai/spicy cuisine!
The next day i was whisked aroud playing tourist and we visited the worlds largest rocking horse, local wineries, the chocolate and cheese factories and the whispering wall (an accidental phenomenon in which you can speak perfectly clearly to others the other side of a massive dam via the curved wall). This was also a bank holiday so it was a real family day out-fantastic. That eve we had a barbie and i tried skippy the kangaroo! really yummy in fact! (even if i did spew it all back up later!). We also spotted a possum up the tree in the backyard which was pretty cool, however unfortunately the possum was found in the morning in the dogs mouth!
Friday was spent at Cleland wildlife park meeting all sorts of weird and wonderful animals - kangaroos, emus (which were petrifying!), echidnas, wombats, tasmanian devils and of course koalas. This was a very funny day and i have many hilarious photos!
My last day with these guys was spent in adelaide for a girly shopping outing and i stocked up on warm clothes for the next few months as it is freezing here. We then visited my great aunt and uncle for tea.
