On our way up to Cairns we stopped over at Townsville for the night so we all decided to hop over to Magnetic Island. We caught the ferry over (wine bottle in hand) and chilled out in the amazing hostel on the beach. This was very relaxing until some woman decided to bring soe lizard thing near me and i completely freaked out! - quite amusing now though. I told everyone about phili on digestives and we pigged out in our rooms - knives under pillows and all!

The next morning we headed back over to mainland and started on our way again. We stopped off at a local croc farm which had the biggest croc in Oz there! Here i decided to conquer my fear straight away and walked up to the lady and told her to put the snake around me - i'm not lying i have it on film! We had a quick tour around, ate some croc kebab, held a baby croc and got a few more pictures of me looking scared with animals! lol i can see a theme occuring here! i must admit tho i did pass up the fella on the chance to be bitten by a snake - cool as it would have been after i just couldn't bring myself to put my had in a container with a python!

Oh and the croc dude by the way was limping everywhere and showed us these huoungous scars that one of the crocs did to him - after pointing out this and the croc that did it he jumped straight on his back holding a peice of meat!!!! what a nutter!

Anyway we arrived in Cairns that eve to opur own dorm room! and hit the town hard. Cairns has awesome nightlife and had us all ancing on the tables and in my case knocking people over on the dance floor trying to be taught Swing! i soon got the hang of it tho!

The next day (7th) i had a diving trip organised which turned out to be one of the most amazing days of my life. i left the girls early and boarded the boat which headed out to the great barrier reef. I did two dives one with an instructor to show us around the other with some jap who couldnt speak english or understand me! I saw turtles, manta rays that were massive, sting rays, a reef shark which was scary, sea dragons along with loads of different fish and corals ive never seen before! i got loadsa photos on my underwater camera too! Heading back to land we had cheese and wine with a dude playing soem tunes on a guitar - fantastic day!

This eve we just chilled and ate the biggest pizza ever! bigger than costco! the last day in Cairns was spent chilling around the lagoon as we were all leaving at different times. Me and Julie did manage to find some cookie ice creams tho! (they were discusting!) We had a fab meal of chicken wraps (made ourselves) on the balcony over looking the town. The next morning i caught the best flight ever from Cairns to Brisbane ( we flew along the Great barrier reef the whole way!). This soon turned into a nightmare journey tho as i had 3 flights in all (within 24 hours) and of course they were all delayed. However, i finally arrive in Nz safe and sound, thinking back on the amazing time i had just spent in Oz wondering when i would be returning!
