Well finally arrived in Japan after 24hours of travelling including a delightful 5 hours in Heathrow. Got to Japan at 9am local time then spent an hour and a half to get to the Hotel at which point was barely conscious however the Hotel is amazing!! I am on the 14th Floor of the East tower which gives you an idea of the size of the place. There are loads of Restaurants and shops and an Aquarium and Roller Coaster as part of the Hotel complex fair to say we are not in Kansas now Toto, certainly puts the old Armagh City Hotel in its place.
Once I got checked in much of yesterday was spent in the arms of Morpheus as my Dad would say (typical English teacher cant just say asleep). Today, once I finally got up, was spent exploring the area around the Hotel curtailed somewhat by the fact that I nearly passed out with the heat and humidity. All the walkways are suspended above the streets and tend to be covered thankfully for someone who once had to endure being called Casper (in ode to Casper the friendly ghost for the uninitiated) so due to that may get through this trip without looking like auditioning for the 'Singing Detective 2'.
Anyway took refuge from the Tenko like conditions in the Railway station by heading to the Aquarium then the Indoor Roller coaster at the Entertainment Plaza in the Hotel. God bless air conditioning I know its bad for the environment and I do feel bad for all those displaced Polar bears but only for it much of visit here could have been spent hooked up to a drip. Will try to get further tomorrow just think if I had been an explorer America and Australia would probably be still undiscovered and many maps would still contain the phrase "Here be monsters". On that note I will leave you dear readers.
