It all sounds fantastic - am v jealous. Fraser Island looks exactly the same as when I went there in 2001 (funny that!). Shame John turned out to be an older man and not a 30 year old Aussie hunk...! Good luck with the diving course. I will be home soon- boo hoo!!! K x

Hi Louise, Wishing you the best of luck on your diving course in Byron Bay. If you think our creatures are dangerous on the surface then wait till you see what's in the sea! When you go to New Zealand we recommend diving the 'rainbow Warrior' which has been sunk off the 'bay of Islands' (north Island) Having fun reviewing your updates! Travel safe!!

Thanks- I'll look in to diving the rainbow warrior (I still haven't opened my NZ Rough Guide yet - I think its probably about time I do).

We had sun and a high of 5 here today. It was sun and a whopping 10 C, at the GT Boutique in Napanee at 6 pm.

The lake is still frozen over as far as you can see from shore here.

 I am very envious. I've been looking at your pics and reading your adventures when I can. I admire you for doing this on your own, what a life changing experience. I love the Koala pictures - they are one of my favourite animals. They look so adorable, but I hear they can be quite nasty. My boss loved the pictures of the elephants - she has a "thing" for them. Work is going well, I should find out in the next month or so if I get to stay for a while longer. There is another girl who is going on maternity leave at the end of May. Keep having loads of fun and stay safe.
