Well, I haven't been kidnapped - yet! I'm just incredibly lazy and its easier to get James to type than to do it myself.
A few observations in general about India and the places we have been:
Weather -
At this time of year in the north of India, at least, it is very foggy, which seems to bring everything to a grinding halt. So trains, planes and automobiles are completely useless. Everyone we meet complains about the weather - they seem to think its freezing. I have actually seen people in snow jackets! The weather is like early Autumn, Septemberish, so obviously we are boiling!
Toilets -
At the hostels the toilets are ok - quite dirty, but they are toilets. Everywhere else the toilets are unisex and basically a whole in the ground. James actually wouldn't let me go into one because he said it was horiffic! In India everywhere you look there are men pissing against the walls today a man hailed me whilst pissing, nice!
Toilet paper is like gold dust.
Money -
Everyone here thinks that we are rich. No one appreciates that we have a budget and everyone is trying to sell us something. People say that they have no motive but they all have a motive.
Trains -
Got the night train from Agra to Jaipur, there is no way to tell which train is yours, no way to tell which station you are arriving at. It is crazy. But it is also awesome!! You get to lie down and there's a blanket and a pillow and you can sleep. All trains should have beds - imagine the journey to work! We were in 3rd class, which was suprisingly good, and great to see lots of different types of people.
Smells -
Well he have smelt some beautiful things. Nice flowery smells, nice curry smells, lots of different spices and herbs. The we have also smelt some bad smells, mostly wee and manure and maybe a little bit of raw sewage.
I did think of a lot of other things to say but they will have to wait.
Monkeys are everywhere!!!
