Have finally ended the trans-siberian and now in Beijing. Had quite a good train journey in (no smugglers on the train this time) Although at the boarder they did have to change all the train wheels and suspended our carriages on big hydraulic lifts?!! (Mary - took lots of train photos I think I should send them to drc!!!!) Saw bits of the wall as we came into China today which was cool so really looking forward to visiting more. China is good although slightly scary not knowing any of the language. We had to naivigate our way round the metro to our hostel as none of the taxi drivers could understand us and then tried to rip us off! Still everyone else has so far been very friendly including one lady who walked us to the supermarket to show us the way. Lovely to hear from all of you, take care.
