We said our goodbyes to Vince this morning - Tom and I were heading to Siem Reap but Vince was going South to Kep.
We booked a local bus which was really old and cranky and had tonnes of mozzies on board. Was worried about out bags in the storage under the bus - heard stories of kids waiting under the bus stealing stuff out of them etc. had all valuables with me though.
Tom and I booked a 4 bed dorm and we happened to be sharing with Pervez an Racool - the guys we met in PP.
There were many places selling beers for 50 or 75 cents so I knew I'd like this place!! The main party street is aptly named Pub Street which comes alive in the evening. We decided to have a traditional Cambodian BBQ - cool your own food on a burner in the centre of your table. Around the side there is broth and noodles and veggies and then you BBQ your meat. We were adventurous and went for snake, frogs legs, ostrich, crocodile and played it safe with a side of chicken! Everything was good apart from the snake which was a tad on the chewy side.
We had a couple more beers before and early night - sunrise at Angkor Wat tomorrow!
