Hello everyone, After taking some restbite in Chiang Mai for a couple of days we then decided to take to 3 day trip to Luang Prabang, Laos. We took a 5 hour journey to the border where we slept in a guesthouse for a few hours before boarding the 2 day slow boat along the Mekong River. We had been recommended to take the slow boat over the fast as the scenery is beautiful and the fast boat is rather dangerous and the guidebook said there were 'frequent fatalities...

Hello everyone! We have been having a great time so far. We arrived in Bangkok last Thurs and after a long, tiring flight from Heathrow we managed to find our hotel we had already pre-booked (no thanks to Rob who forgot the map and address of the place so we were left on a bit of a wild goose chase!)
