Arrived in Nadi where we stayed for one night thank goodness we weren't staying much longer as we weren't impressed with the hotel.
The ferry dropped us off the following morning on Beachcomber Island for 4 days of sunshine, booze and three proper meals a day. We were staying in the massive dorm with 64 beds so not luxury but good enough.
Unfortunately, it rained for 3 of the 4 days continously. However, this didn't dampen our spirits.
The first night in the bar we met a couple of ozzie girls, lauren and sam who we spent the full 4 days with, playing cards in the bar during the day, occasionally going for swim in the rain and having a laugh and drinking copious amounts of alcohol in the evening.
The evenings at this place were great and included a live band and different games- limbo dancing, crab racing, bula dance every night and knights (where you have to pick your partner up on back or sit on their knee etc). The main saying for this part of our travels was definately "save water, drink beer".
On our second day a group from the Kiwi bus also turned up so we knew quite a few people by the end of our stay.
During our stay here it was also Charlottes birthday which we celebrated in style - muffins stolen from breakfast in place of a birthday cake and candles brought from NZ. Sam and Lauren were really generous and bought her a Beachcomber sarong and paid for a massage.
The band also made her get on stage whilst they sang happy birthday - a few jugs of beer were drunk that night.
