so now im in surfers paradise, since my last blog ive done a bit of this and that, this being not going to fraser as the cyclone messed up the island and it was closed for a bit and had flooding, which was a bit gutting. that being going to brisbane and surfers.
once i got to brisbane i went out and explored the land. i quickly founf the southbank and the man made beach which was beautiful and as you came over the bridge from the main city it looked like london, it even had a big wheel. i also went around the art gallery and city museum. they were interesting and fun, and most of all free! the next day i did much of the same before booking myself a trip to australia zoo for the next day.
i got there via train and saved a pretty packet on transport as they can charge you $50 to get there via coach, and spent what i saved on getting me a photo holding a KOALA. i was so glad as it was one of my goals for my trip. theyre so so cuddly and placid. i could have held it all day.

alas there were no girraffes though.boo. after that there was a bit of a messy st patricks day weekend in brisbane. my next stop was surfers paradise. 1 hour up the road, and very different. the place is rather big, and known to be the home of very rich people, and this shows in some of the arcitecture.
i headed for the wax museum for some laughs and got them for a silly amount of $28.pah
then i headed for the deck, supposedly the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. it was pretty neat especially at sunset when the sun reflected in the water and hit the surounding buildings.
And finally, yesterday i decided some zorbing was in order., its something ive always wanted to do but they dont do it in england (at least i dont think) but i did it, i did the hydro hill challange and didnt last a second standing up, but it was fun none the less.
