hello all. we made it to koh tao, an island down south on monday after our 30 hour journey down here! it wasnt the nicest of journeys - we were both very sea sick on the boat here, throwing up for 3 hours! And then when we found a hostel and unpacked our bags i found the thai people on the overnight bus had picked my padlocks on my rucksac and had a rummage through my things....stealing my waterproof and breaking a lot of stuff. grr i wasnt pleased, but another guy on our bus we were talking to had 800 pounds stolen so guess it makes it a bit better!

We had rain the first day, as it is the rainy season! But since then we've had some great days of sunshine. the bay we're staying in is nice and quite and gorgeous, but today we walked to the next bay around called shark bay, and its even better. true paradise!!! So we rented some snorkel gear and did a bit of snorkelling, both got biten by fish! lol. and mellys very sunburnt.

The island is one of the least commercial and so has been just what we were looking for......after talking to other backpackers i think we definately made the right decision to come here.

anyway the next time i write will be in bnagkok as its so expensive here to get on the net. happy birthday natasha for the 19th :-)
