Already time to leave
Lisbon and I can't believe it! Only three days but they have really passed
Quickly. Really nice to be able to use my Portuguese and even better to be mistaken for a brazilian. Lisbon, though probably one of the poorest major cities
In brazil, is not surprisingly very quaint. Sooo many things here that brazil has taken directly into their way of
Life. From the cobblestone
Streets to the picanha meat cuts, the two countries are more Similar than I was expecting. Spent the first day here taking The famous Electric Trolly up to the Top of the highest hill in the city. Sorry about the random caps and spaces, this iPod app isn't the best for writing. While at this viewpoint I heard some church music and wondered into a very intricately Decorated church. Next day I went on a day trip to cascais with two freinds a met from California. The beaches here weren't the best I've seen, but the chicken I had for
Dinner and the classic red-tiled roof architecture can't be beat. Found a nice big bridge to jump off and made some German tourists very nervous. Then we went to a place called boca do inferno or the mouth of hell. Was supposed to be called this because of the waves crashing on the cliffs but was actually rather tame. Went out to see some live music with drinks that night and met some very fun Frenchmen. To clear up any misconceptions they assured me that they don't hate Americans, they're still happy we saved their asses. Tonight i'll be sleeping cheap in a seat on a Train and tomorow I'll be in Valencia for more sun! Staying on becky's couch for the small price of a few forgotten postcards. I'll get pics and a vid of the bridge jumping up asap!
