So, we made it to Florianopolis, again without a hitch... first long bus ride! 14 hours in total, it pretty much flew by. Some Aussie tried to scare us before we got on about being robbed and it being really unsafe. This is going to be quite a long one since we have left it so long since the last update! After leaving Rio we landed in Iguacu, again no issues with the transport, picked up our bags and headed to the hostel, the Supernova, which was lush! We had our own little apartment, me and Carly in one room and Dave and Pickett in another. Shared a bog. Best of all had a swimming pool outside of the room and air con, the luxury! Wow, a lot to update on! It´s been a hectic 3 days. We started the second day as we ended the first blog, got up a decent time and headed out with walking boots and rucksacks, thinking of maybe 5 mile stroll around town! This prety much developed into a 12 mile hike aorund Rio! And it was awesome. We go to see all aspects of the town (minus the Favelas), the good bits and the rough bits. Just a fantastic experience, with great views and really friendly people......

Our first blog entry! We`ve obviously all made it. Pretty hassel free flight, no issues Heathrow end, the second flight was a bit mediocre but thats what you get for getting the cheapest flight to Brazil I guess! Hostel is lush, decent bed, seems to be lively too. Generally seems like a good atmosphere. Todays activities: getting the wrong bus (although it said Ipanema on the front, I reckon it would have got us near to out hostel!) Anyway ended up in the centre...
